WELCOME TO LITTLE ORCHARD HOUSE NURSERY

Childcare from 12 months to 4 years

Welcome to Little Orchard House Nursery - a childcare setting  for children to grow, explore and play.  With a fun, caring and nurturing environment we want all children to have a happy and healthy journey.

THE PATH TO EXPLORE

We believe that children thrive in an environment which values their own uniqueness, while providing support and opportunities to grow emotionally, socially and creatively. By building on each child’s strengths, interests and curiosities, we guide each child to explore the world around them as well as develop new abilities and form close relationships.

OUR STORY

Little Orchard House Nursery

Little Orchard House Nursery was born in 2016 and is a family run nursery.  The building was the original barn that sat on the land of an apple and pear orchard over one hundred years ago in Greenford.  In 2015 the building was transformed into Little Orchard House Nursery. With a spacious playroom and large outdoor play area, the nursery provides a calm and safe environment for your child.  At Little Orchard House Nursery we take pride in being a friendly setting in which each child's physical, emotional and development needs are met.

OUR LEARNING JOURNEY

LEARNING THROUGH PLAY

At Little Orchard House Nursery we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and with this the team are inspired by nature and child led play. By children actively leading their own development, we are able to provide them with the enriched learning experience.  With mixed age groups in our playroom it enables for all children to expand their creativity, empathy and kindness towards their peers.

OUR GARDEN

Outside play is vital for all children to develop confidence and exploration in nature.  We encourage all children to use their imagination and ideas for play whilst being supported by staff using harmonious language.

Outside play also helps children expand their sensory play which will help support children's language development, cognitive growth, problem solving and social interaction.

EATING TIME

Meal times & cooking is a big part of our nurseries heart & children's individual learning journey.  Many of our children eat up to 10 meals a week making this the majority of their weekly nutritional intake therefore we want to ensure that everything the children eat is of the best quality. Our menus are changed seasonally & include a variety of balanced & wholesome meals prepared on site.
We encourage all children to experience new tastes, smells & textures with food whilst learning to sit with their peers at meal times.
